Trade Stand Schedule 

If you wish to apply for trade stand space at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show, you will need to complete all relevant forms in the trade stand schedule. 2010 schedules are now available from the RABDF office. To receive your copy please phone 0845 4582711 or email wendygriffin@rabdf.co.uk

Event Zones 

To make locating stands easier for visitors, the 2010 event area will be divided into the following zones. Exhibitors should choose to locate their stand in a zone that they feel best fits their business.

Indoor Stands

Animal Health

This zone will feature animal health and veterinary product manufacturers and distributors. It will also feature the Farm Health Planning Seminars.

Business Management

Exhibitors will include consultants, financial providers, insurance, IT, training and recruitment, trade associations, publishers and quality assurance.
A choice of shell scheme stands (minimum 3m x 3m) provided by the organiser or clear stand space is available in this zone.

Diversification and Renewables Exhibition

Sponsored by the CLA and promoted to its members, this exhibition attracts farmers looking to generate extra income from existing farm assets. The area focuses on all elements of on-farm diversification, adding value, renewable energy and recycling. This includes companies providing advice on planning, development and environmental issues.
A choice of shell scheme stands (minimum 3m x 3m) provided by the organiser or clear stand space is available in this zone.

Feeds and Forage

Companies in this zone will cover feeds, seeds, fertilisers, chemicals, silage and feed additives, soil and forage products.

Genetics

A dedicated area for all Breeding and AI companies.

Housing and Storage

Exhibitors will include animal housing, buildings and materials, cubicles, bins and bedding products.

Livestock Equipment

Equipment for feeding, identification, handling and fencing livestock.

Machinery

An indoor area for tractors, telehandlers, machinery, attachments and spare parts.
An outdoor area is also available for these products.

MeatMakers Exhibition

A new feature for the 2010 Dairy Event and Livestock Show; Meatmakers, sponsored by EBLEX, will incorporate companies involved in butchery, meat processing, packaging, labelling, storage and transport, meat processors and retailers.

A major highlight of this zone will be EBLEX’s Better Returns Programme identifying areas for cost saving, using EBV’s to improve carcass merits, direct selling, selection for slaughter, meat marketing, exports, breeding and calf production, and feeding and forage.

Milking

For all aspects of milking including parlours, cooling equipment, spares, hygiene products, clothing and milk testing.

MilkMade

Sponsored by Dairy UK, the Milkmade Exhibition focuses on dairy technology, processing and marketing. This area will be enhanced in 2010 by inclusion of the milk buying companies.
A choice of shell scheme stands (minimum 3m x 3m) provided by the organiser or clear stand space is available in this zone.

Slurry and Irrigation

For companies involved in the handling and storage of slurry and water, environmental products and advisory services.

Outdoor Stands

Machinery

For all wheeled vehicles including tractors, telehandlers, etc.
There is also an indoor area incorporating these products.

Livestock Machinery and Equipment

An outdoor area for machinery suppliers, housing and storage, slurry and irrigation, and livestock equipment. There is also an indoor area incorporating these products.

Livestock Hall

This zone will be located in Hall 16 and stand space is restricted to breed societies and sponsors of the dairy, beef, sheep, goat and native breed promotion areas.

Dairy Breed Promotion

All the main dairy societies will be represented in this area, promoting the merits of their individual breed. Cattle exhibitors will compete for the breed and interbreed Championships in the Main Ring. 

Beef Breed Promotion

The Beef Breed Promotion area, featuring suckler herds as well as dairy will provides a great opportunity for breed societies to promote their genetics to the 4,000 beef farmers who already attend the event as well as overseas visitors from over 30 different countries. EBV demonstrations by EBLEX will also be featured.

Sheep Breed Promotion

Making a profit from sheep is a real challenge even for those dedicated to the enterprise. Understanding the technical aspects is an essential prerequisite for all livestock farmers. The RABDF, working in conjunction with the National Sheep Association, will provide visitors with valuable information on the technical aspects of sheep production. The exhibition will encompass up to date information on the latest and key sheep industry news and developments. Breed Societies will be able to promote their genetics to the 3,000 sheep farmer visitors already in attendance as well as overseas visitors from over 30 different countries.

Goat Breed Promotion

The Goat Breed Promotion area, organised in association with the British Goat Society will provide valuable information for existing and prospective commercial producers. It will include a display of the different commercial breeds and their merits for producing dairy, meat or fibre products. A series of practical demonstrations will also be held including AI, milking and foot trimming. This is an ideal opportunity for breed societies to promote their breed to commercial producers, British Goat Society members and overseas visitors interested in purchasing British goat genetics.
